RACE PREPARATION

Preparing competitive historic and classic race cars requires highly skilled and knowledgable technicians – fortunately Alan Mann Racing have over 60 years experience in this field, which began when we built, prepared and ran championship-winning cars as part of Ford’s Ford Performance Programme.

Our vast experience with iconic Fords, including the Mustang, Shelby Cobra, GT40, Cortina, Mk1 Escort, Falcon and others powered by the Ford 289, Ford 427, and Lotus Twin-Cam means Alan Mann Racing are the specialists in race car preparation – of both original race cars and toolroom copies.

Your race car or road car can be collected from anywhere in the world. Before we start work, we will supply a comprehensive report, which details the results of our inspection and subsequent recommendations.

We provide engineering solutions to ensure each car prepared by Alan Mann Racing is run to the highest possible standards, whilst remaining fully compliant to the necessary regulations of the desired championship or race series.

To maintain the integrity of the vehicle, we use specially sourced parts to ensure the highest levels of reliability and performance. Our skilled fabricators can also design and produce replacement parts to the manufacturer’s original specification.

TRACKSIDE SUPPORT

Alan Mann Racing built, prepared and ran iconic cars as part of Ford’s Total Performance programme throughout Europe and USA in the 1960s. That race-winning mentality through innovation and attention to detail continues today. What better way to go racing than with a team that was winning in the 60s, and more recently has been winning at historic events since 2004?

To ensure the highest levels of service, Alan Mann Racing’s team of technicians are highly experienced as both race mechanics and engineers – not only do they prepare customer cars in our Woking workshop on a day-to-day basis, but, due to their familiarity with the car, they are then able to offer the highest level of trackside support – whether it be a track day, test day or race event. Following initial track time, our technicians will request feedback and advise on  potential set-up changes, and where possible, make the necessary changes then and there.

We offer track support, with a unique period touch, throughout the UK and Europe – including PeterAuto, Masters Historic Racing, Motor Racing Legends (MRL), Classic Touring Car Race Club (CTCRC), Historic Racing Driver Club (HRDC), Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC), Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC), Equipe Classic Racing rounds, and more.
